Erika Scott is an accomplished ophthalmic professional and healthcare leader with nearly 20 years of experience in ophthalmology. Beginning her career in direct patient care, Erika advanced through clinical and leadership roles to become an experienced practice administrator with a strong understanding of both the clinical and operational sides of ophthalmic care.
Throughout her career, Erika has gained extensive experience in glaucoma, retina, surgical and diagnostic services, pharmaceutical management, reimbursement, staff development, and multi-site practice operations. Prior to joining Toyos Clinic, she served in senior operations leadership at Charles Retina Institute, where she helped oversee 11 physicians across 11 locations and played an integral role in the organization’s growth from four to 11 locations. She also managed large-scale pharmaceutical programs exceeding $40 million annually and led initiatives involving workflow development, staff training, operational efficiencies, vendor and GPO strategy, and practice performance.
Erika holds multiple ophthalmic credentials, including Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Retinal Technician (CRT), Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC), Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant (OSA), and Certified Eyecare Professional (CEP). She recently achieved the Certified Ophthalmic Executive Certification (COE). She is also WaveScan and VISX certified and has completed advanced leadership training.
As Practice Administrator at Toyos Clinic, Erika brings a unique combination of hands-on clinical knowledge and operational leadership. She is passionate about developing strong teams, improving practice efficiency, supporting physicians and staff, and creating systems that ultimately enhance the patient experience and quality of care.
